Welcome

The History

The establishment how nowadays proudly arises was restructured around 1700 by a noble family of Vico Equense called "Cosenza". Around the 19th century, at the time of the "Grand Tour", which brought the Sorrento Coast to the international tourism stage, the villa was turned into a hotel, among the first in the surrounding of Sorrento and standing out from the other hospitality houses for its marked sense of kindness, warmth and hospitality. In the 50's the Hotel was partly used as main stage of Dino Risis's movie "Pane, Amore e..." played by the extraordinary actors as Vittorio De Sica and the wonderful and ever young Sofia Loren.

A wise and careful, 8 years long renovation gives birth to a unique 5 stars hotel, characterized by clean architectural lines, where classic, modern and luxurious materials get melted all together. An amazing and ideal position, well-groomed environments, cosy and comfortable rooms, outstanding service and the delicious cuisine of "L'Accanto" Gourmet Restaurant turns the Grand Hotel Angiolieri in the perfect choice for a vacation on the Coast, plunging into silence and nature.
